KAC members Cheryl Unruh and Roy Beckemeyer both had their books recognized as Kansas Notable Books for 2015. Each year, the Kansas State Librarian selects 15 books for the Kansas Notable Books List. The books are selected from a list of books published the previous year which were either written by Kansas authors or about Kansas. This year, books written by two Kansas Authors Club members are included on the list. Music I Once Could Dance To is Roy J. Beckemeyer's first collection of poetry, while Waiting on the Sky: More Flyover People Essays is Carol Unruh's second collection of essays. An award ceremony will be held at the Kansas Book Festival, September 12, 2015, to recognize the talented Notable Book authors.
