Back by popular demand the program will be, "WHY I LOVE TO WRITE" Bring your favorite opening sentences of a novel to share--several sentences only, not the entire page. After sharing these powerful words, we will write our own powerful openings and analyze how to pull readers in with the first paragraph.
Like last year, we will then use Dove chocolate candies, each containing a love message that will be our individual writing prompt. Using the prompt we will write one or more sentences with a Valentine theme based on the prompt we received. Humor is good!
Vice President Gretchen Eick will also report on the line up of programs for the year.
1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Larksfield Place, 7373 E. 29th St. N., Wichita KS 67226.
Enter the drive at 7373 East 29th St N. (just west of Rock Rd on the south side of 29th Street).
Follow sign arrow to the Visitors Center parking.
From the visitors' parking lot enter the Welcome Entrance adjacent to that lot. This month only the meeting will take place in the Auditorium rather than the Lakeview Room.
KAC meetings are free and open to the public. Come early for treats and socializing.
