Wichita Broadside Project 2017
Sponsored by the Wichita Arts Council, Harvester Arts, & River City Poetry
Through the spring and summer, local Wichita poets and artists, including many members of KAC, have partnered up to collaborate on a new urban project. The artists and poets then create new work that will be shared throughout the city as broadsides. What are broadsides? Traditionally, they are simply public proclamations, but think of them as inexpensive posters that share the news of the day, celebrate an upcoming event, or in this case, showcase art and poetry in public spaces.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR THE WICHITA BROADSIDE PROJECT:
We are looking for dynamic collaborations between Wichita Poets and Artists. Final selections will be made by a review panel consisting of members of Harvester Arts and River City Poetry. Partnerships selected will receive proof sets and distribution materials, along with a public viewing at Harvester arts on Final Friday in October (10/27).
Broadsides should be submitted with the following technical specifications:
All submissions due September 11th, 2017.
