On May 13, District 5 will be hosting Dr. Kim Stanley who will talk with the Kansas Authors' Club on Moment by Moment: Writing Your Life, sponsored by the Kansas Humanities Council’s Pulitzer Project Speaker’s Bureau.
Dr. Kim Stanley is a professor of English and chair of the Department of Modern Languages at McPherson College, teacher of poetry, and creative non-fiction. For 10 years she has led book discussions for the Kansas Humanities Council, using stories to teach values and working with parents in prison to get them reading and writing.
Part of our time with Dr. Stanley will feature participants writing, so bring your laptop or notebook, please.
This program is open to the public free of charge and takes place at Larksfield Place Auditorium, 1:30-3:30, Saturday, May 13.
Larksfield Place is at 7373 E. 29th St. N., Wichita KS 67226. (just west of Rock Rd on the south side of 29th Street). Follow sign arrow to the Visitors Center parking and enter the Welcome Entrance adjacent to that lot.
