Shan Jabara, director of acquisitions for the Tallgrass Film Festival, will talk about what’s on tap for the 13th Tallgrass Film Festival set for October 2015.
From the Tallgrass web site: The Tallgrass Film Festival, the largest independent film festival in the state of Kansas, is a hallmark of Wichita’s cultural landscape. Now entering its 13th year, the festival has become an internationally recognized, multi-day platform for world-class cinematic programming, while showcasing Wichita’s revitalized downtown area and many of its cultural attractions. In 2012, record breaking attendance – of more than 12,000-proved that the Tallgrass Film Festival is one of the hottest tickets in town and Flavorwire calls Tallgrass one of the top ten Best-Under-The-Radar Film Festivals in America. The festival was named as one of MovieMaker Magazine's "Top 25 Coolest Festivals in the World" in 2013.
Shan will show a couple of short films as an introduction to the Festival. She will also discuss ways to enter your own films in the Festival.
Meetings are open to the public free of charge. We hope to see you there!
