On Saturday, March 11, three successful editorial writers will share their strategies for writing letters to the editor that get published. Diane Wahto, a poet who taught English composition at Butler County Community College and Wichita State before her retirement; Dr. Prem Bajaj, associate professor emeritus in mathematics and statistics at Wichita State; and Roy Beckemeyer, a retired Boeing engineer, a poet, and a scientific journal editor; he researches Paleozoic fossil insects and has named more than 20 new species in the scientific literature. He is President of the Kansas Authors Club and has written letters to the editor for many years. Diane is the current president of District 5 KAC and Prem is a past president.
Following their comments members will write their own letters, sharing as time allows. Come prepared with an issue you want to write about and something to write with.

Follow sign arrow to the Visitors Center parking.
From the visitors' parking lot enter the Welcome Entrance adjacent to that lot. Turn left at the hallway and walk through the dining room, past the serving bar, and into the Lakeview Room.
Come early for treats and socializing. We will be meeting in the Lakeview Room
