Join us for the Kansas Authors Club District 5 monthly meeting on Saturday, July 11, at the Rockwell Branch Library in Wichita. The meeting runs from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Liz Hicks will give a presentation on Women You’ll Wish You Had Known. The presentation will feature a slide show and discussion of techniques for historical research.
Liz is a recently retired pharmacist. In her field, she has provided programs (including some that gave continuing education points) to health professionals as well as to the general public.
Her avocation is working for women's, and therefore, human, rights. As such, she has served through organizations and boards and commissions. In promoting women's history programs in Wichita NOW (National Organization for Women), she has created reenactments of several women and has two programs on Kansas herstories called "Women You'll Wish You Had Known".
Although her technology is old, her enthusiasm remains current.
Kansas Author Club meetings are open to the public, free of charge. Hope to see you there.
