It's time to nominate members to the District 5 Board for 2016. Although the board members each bring their own talents and abilities to each role, the basic duties are outlined below:
President - Official leader of District 5; starts meetings and keeps everyone in order; attend State Board meetings. (Griz has stated that he is willing to stay on as D5 President.)
Vice-President - Schedules meeting activities and speakers; send this information to D5 Blog Editor and State website editor; takes over when President is absent. (Diane has stated that she is willing to stay on as D5 Vice-President.)
Treasurer - Pays for expenses out of District 5 account; monthly report at district meeting; annual report to State.
Secretary - take minutes of monthly member meetings and board meetings as they occur; email minutes to Blog Editor to be posted on the blog. (Connie White has volunteered for the position of Secretary.)
Blog Editor - post meeting details, member submissions, and other information of interest to D5 members to the District 5 blog. (Cindi has stated that she is willing to stay on as D5 Blog Editor.)
Member List - work with State New Member Chair to keep track of D5 members on a spreadsheet; notify D5 Member Liaison on new members. (Conrad Jestmore has volunteered for this position.)
Member Liaison - welcome new members.
Publicity - submit information to D5 Blog Editor and State Website Manager; help spread the news about District 5 and State KAC events to the public. (Roy has stated that he is willing to stay on as D5 Publicist.)
