Watermark Books will be hosting author Liz Kay for an author talk and signing of her debut novel, Monsters: A Love Story (Putnam), Thursday, October 27.
The author will be discussing her book and what she learned as a new author through the process of publishing it. Those planning to participate in NaNoWriMo will find it interesting to know that Monsters: A Love Story was written very quickly, in about 6 weeks, and went on to be published by J.P. Putnam's Sons. The book just came out in Sweden.

Liz Kay is the founding editor of Spark Wheel Press and the journal "burntdistrict." She holds an MFA from the University of Nebraska where she received an Academy of American Poets Prize and her work has appeared in "Willow Springs," "Nimrod," "RHINO," "Sugar House Review," and "Beloit Poetry Journal."
