The August District 5 Kansas Authors Club meeting topic is: “How important are your characters in whatever you write?” Katherine Pritchett and Louse Pelzl (aka Z. Minor) will be our speakers.
Do you read a book for the plot or because, once introduced to book characters, you want to know what happens to them?
This will determine the type of book/poem you will write. We will discuss the following:
1. Type of characters
2. Creating characters
3. How to reveal complex characters
4. Goal. Motivation and conflict for characters.
Bring your questions, characters and other writing questions. There will be a general discussion following the presentation.
District 5 meets on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at the Rockford Library in Wichita from 2:00-4:00 p. m.The meeting is open to the public free of charge.
