AARP Chapter #45 of Wichita has donated $150 to help support the KAC Youth Writers Contest. The funds come from many years of Chapter #45 membership dues and, now that AARP Chapter #45 has disbanded, it was determined the funds would be donated to 501(c)(3) organizations as suggested by the chapter members. A huge thank you to the members of AARP Chapter #45 for selecting KAC as a recipient of your donations.
My friend’s eleven year old was taught in school how to use Google to search for photos that were free to use and modify, even commercially. It’s not perfect when it comes to royalty free, but can be used as a filter, a place to start when it comes to posting images on your blog.
Start by doing your search in Google Images. Once the images appear you’ll see a toolbox sign in the top right hand corner. Click on it. A drop down box will appear click on Advanced Search. At the bottom of the page the last option is Usage Rights. Click on the down arrow for the drop down box. Pick the last option: Free to use, share, or modify, even commercially. Then click the advanced search button. I hope this helps.
